THE TOPIC: CITY DEVELOPMENT- PALILULA DISCUSSION

About the draft of the Programme for City Development for 2013, that was made up by the Administration for economy, sustainable development and life environment protection, the working meeting in Palilula Municipality was organized. With the representatives of this Administration spoke Milos Stojkovic, president of Palilula Assembly, Marija Brajdic, head of Municipal Administration and Svetislav Petrovic, member of Council of Palilula Municipality.

The Law on local self government and Statute of City of Nis has taken into account the procedure of activities on the elaboration of annual programme of development that suggests making objective analyses of available development degree in the last period and defining of priorities in development of organization of local self government of the City of Nis. On this occasion it was agreed that Palilula Municipality should submit the Report on realization of the Programme for the City of Nis development in 2012 and initiates new proposals for this planned document.

Planning of the city-municipality, defining of Strategy of development as basic developmental document, as well as following documents necessary for operationalization of the Strategy is one of the basic and necessary conditions of one community development. That is why, Nis brought the Strategy of City of Nis development which implementations is being realized with concretization and defining of activities on annual level –with annual programme of development. With Strategy of development of the City of Nis for 2009-2020 is defined four basic strategic directions of development with final result - realization of the vision of future Nis. The role of city municipalities in realization of this task is very significant. Nis City Assembly is obliged that, after the completion of discussions, bring the Programme of the Nis City development for 2013.
